EdVenture FAQ

    • EdVenture Camp will be broken into 3 session this year: Monday-Thursday
      • Session 1: June 5th – June 15th 
      • Session 2: June 20th – June 29th 
    • There will be no camp on Monday June 19th 
      • Session 3: July 3rd – July 13th
    • There will be no camp on Tuesday July 4th 
    • EdVenture Camp will run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday-Thursday
      • There will be NO camp on Friday
    • EdVenture Camp will be held at Templeton Elementary School: 1400 Brenda Lane, Bloomington, IN 47401
    • EdVenture Camp serves children entering grades K-6 th in the fall of 2023. There are no county or address requirements to attend camp. 
    • MCCSC EdVenture Camp is an inclusive summer camp program. In order to make camp a positive, safe, and successful experience for all campers, prior to registering, please determine whether your camper meets the following criteria:
      1. Camper is age appropriate. This means they are entering Kindergarten through 6th grade this fall 2023.
      2. Camper is able to participate in the camp program independently or with reasonable accommodations.
      3. Camper is willing and able to follow directions and instructions from staff.
      4. Camper is comfortable with and able to safely interact in a group environment.
    • Any preschool student who will be entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2023 may attend EdVenture Camp!
    • If your child will be attending Academic Camp held at Fairview they will ONLY be able to attend Session 3 of EdVenture Camp.
    • If your child will be attending Camp Connections they will ONLY be able to attend Session 2 and Session 3 of EdVenture Camp.
    • Session 1 – $150.00-per child
      • $45.00 of this fee is a non-refundable deposit per child
    • Session 2 – $132.00-per child
      • $45.00 of this fee is a non-refundable deposit per child
    • Session 3 – $132.00-per child
      • $45.00 of this fee is a non-refundable deposit per child
    • Scholarships DO NOT include registration fees.
    • You will receive an email on the dates listed below to the email that is on file.

  • If tuition is not paid by 4:00 pm on the due date listed on your bill your child will be removed from the program and their seat will be offered to the next person on the wait list.

    • You can pay your bill multiple ways: 
      • Online through your parent portal located at https://www.myprocare.com
        • You may use; Visa, MasterCard or Discover
      • Our main office located at 553 E Miller Drive. We are open 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Friday (June and July Monday-Thursday)
        • You may use; cash, check, money order, Visa, MasterCard or Discover.

    • To qualify for a scholarship:
      • Your child must have been an MCCSC Student during the 2022-2023 School Year
      • Your child must have received Textbook Assistance during the 2022-2023 School Year
    • A scholarship can help cover the cost of:
      • the camp day 9:00 day am – 3:00 pm 
      • Before-Camp care (Extended Day AM) 7:00 am- the start of the camp day
      • After-Camp care (Extended Day PM) end of the camp day-5:30 pm
    • The scholarship DOES NOT cover the registration fee ($35 non-refundable)
    • There are a limited number of scholarships available.
    • Please see the chart below to know how many days your child can miss of camp.

    • Failure to comply with the attendance policy in session 1 will result in losing your scholarship for sessions 2 and 3. You will be charged ALL camp fees and will need to pay in full in order to keep your seat.
      • This means you will need to pay for all sessions you have signed up for including session 1.
    • Failure to follow the attendance policy for any session will jeopardize future scholarship opportunities.
    • If your camper will miss camp due to a lengthy illness a doctor’s note will need to be provided.
    • Late pick-up fees are assessed at $1 per minute per child. Late pickup begins at 3:31 pm or 5:31 pm for students enrolled in the After-Camp Care. Students not enrolled in the After-Camp Care who are not picked up by 3:31 pm will be charged $1 per minute.
    • Yes! Before-Camp Care is offered from 7:00 am- the start of camp and AfterCamp Care is offered from the end of camp – 5:30 pm.

    • EdVenture Camp is fun, messy, and exciting as well as educational. Your child will have the traditional camp day experience while staying engaged to prevent summer learning loss.
    • Campers will enjoy: playing games, participating in teambuilding activities, art and music classes, and so much more!
    • Yes! We are planning a field trip for each session this year for EdVenture Camp!
      • More details about field trips will be released closer to the start of camp.
    • MCCSC will continue to update guidelines recommended and you will be notified in writing before camp starts.
    • Parents will be responsible for getting their child to and from EdVenture Camp.
    • There will be designated drop-off and pick-up areas and times.
      • These will be given before the start of camp.
    • Directions on how to drop off and pick up will be given before the start of camp.
    • Yes! We are excited to announce we will have an open house on June 2nd from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm.
    • Breakfast and lunch will be available for your child at no charge through the MCCSC cafeteria, students may bring meals from home.
    • An afternoon snack will be available for your child.
    • Campers will need to bring:
      • a water bottle
      • a change of clothes
      • a swimsuit for water days (these will be planned ahead of time and parents will be notified when they will happen)
    • Please send your camper in play clothes! Camp is messy!
      • We are not responsible for any clothing that may get ruined while your child is attending EdVenture Camp!
    • Please DO NOT bring any electronics (iPads, cell phones, game consoles, etc.) to camp.
      • They will be confiscated by camp staff and returned to the parent/guardian at the end of the day.
      • We ARE NOT responsible for any damage that could occur to a device that is brought to camp with a camper.
